Charlene Marchi received her Bachelor of Music in music composition from the University of Southern California in 1974 and holds a California teaching credential in music and certification in the Orff-Schulwerk/Kodaly method. Ms. Marchi has had a long career of teaching general, instrumental, and choral music privately and in schools, and serving as church accompanist and music director. She has always enjoyed composing for all of these situations.

A native of Martinez, California, Ms. Marchi currently lives in the village of Yachats on the central Oregon coast.
